"SINGING RIVER TOUR"

Tri-County Puppy Raisers enjoyed a Singing River Tour aboard a 40' pontoon boat.  The eco-tour of the Rainbow and the Withlacoochee Rivers in Dunnellon, Florida was a big hit with both the raisers and the puppies.

Captain Jon Semmes shared his knowledge of ecology and the area's history through stories and songs.  Captain Jon, also a professional musician, entertained the group with his singing.

The Tri-County Puppy Raisers Group of Central Florida is growing by leaps & bounds! Just this week we have added five of Southeastern Guide Dogs precious little pups to our family...Let me introduce you:  

 

"ABBEY- 6O13"

Abbey is a yellow Labrador female, born on April 29, 2013.  Her Dam is Dee and her Sire is Bentley.  Abbey is being raised by Barbara Leonard of The Villages.

 

"COLONEL TOM -1R13"

Colonel Tom is a yellow Labrador male, born on May 20, 2013. His Dam is JoJo and his Sire is Doubleplays Cadence.  Colonel Tom is being raised by Carl Tyner of Leesburg.

 

"GROOVY -1P13"

Groovy is a yellow Labrador male, born on May 17, 2013.  His Dam is Jakki and his Sire is Patriot.  Groovy is being raised by Tom Schmelzer of The Villages.

 

 

"ATLAS - 7Q13"

Atlas is a black Labrador male, born on May 17, 2013.  His Dam is Soozie and his Sire is Sparky.  Atlas is being raised by Suzanne Pahls of The Villages.

Lady Bear is a black Goldadore female, born on April 14th  

 A Goldadore is Golden Retriever and Labradore mix. Lady Bear is being raised by Mary Ann Jachna of Ocala, Florida   



 

Southeastern Guide Dog puppies in their blue capes are becoming a familiar and welcoming sight in our neighborhoods.  It's going to be an exciting year.. our 1st Annual Southeastern Guide Dogs Walkathon  being held in The Villages, along with many new things happening.....so stay tuned!

Mark has given me something I will never forget and will always be thankful for... the love and joy he has given myself, my family and friends.  I will always feel his soft, warm nose touching my hand as he "heels" by my side as I daydream of our walks. Mark had a way of saying "thanks Dad, I can do this and will make you proud".

Artie 5N13 is a black Goldador male born on April 14, 2013.  His Sire is Goldie and Dame is Judith.  Artie is being raised by Joyce Landbeck of The Villages.

JR is also a black Goldador male, he is being raised by Linda Little from The Villages.  Linda says that JR is very good puppy and also very smart!

 

On Friday, July 6th the TriCounty Puppy Raisers held their obedience class at the Lowes Home & Garden store in Lady Lake.  The puppies experienced new sights, sounds and smells, and were the object of affection to many of the shoppers.

After class it was off to Cracker Barrel :)

"MEET MARNIE"

 

 

"Marnie" is a 3 month old black Labrador puppy. She is being raised by Rachel, our youngest puppy raiser in the Tri-County of Central Florida group.

 

Rachel also performs with the Ocala Youth Symphony. On Sunday, April 28th the puppy raisers group was invited by Rachel to attend a  concert at the Appleton Museum in Ocala.

Rachel and her sisters, Rebecca and Christine performed a trio Sonata in A minor.
